GOLD-DIGGING PERJURER GETS OFF LIGHTLY

A 19-year-old hairdressing apprentice who accused her boss of sexual harassment has been ordered to pay $10,000 towards his legal fees after losing the case. Natasha Prolisko, 19, accused her former employer Arthur Knight of touching her bottom and breasts, asking for oral sex, trying to kiss her and commenting on her sex life and body shape. She was an apprentice at Mr Knight's salon in Little Collins Street, central Melbourne, for more than two years until her resignation in May 2004.

Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) senior member Noreen Megay dismissed the claims of sexual harassment and discrimination after a six-day hearing in August last year. Ms Megay today ordered Ms Prolisko to pay $10,000 of Mr Knight's legal costs. Ms Megay said Ms Prolisko failed to prove the sexual harassment claims and she described her discrimination allegations as "flimsy, bordering on fanciful".

She said she took into consideration that Mr Knight was absent from work during the hearing and this represented a "substantial burden on a small business". Ms Megay said she was also conscious of Ms Prolisko's youth and acknowledged it was unlikely she had substantial funds at her disposal.
